The Scariest of Bigfeets!
Ok so it’s Halloween time, so we’re bending the rules a lil and going with more a societal phobia vs a myth… what ya gonna do about it? (Might I suggest, draw a clown in protest?)
Aaaanyways! Supposedly there was a time when mention of clowns didn’t conjure images of Shakes, Pogo, Frenchy, Joker, Pennywise etc… but I certainly never lived it and I’m old as sh*t… So we’re just gonna skip the whole joyous jesters of mirth angle… and draw our killer clowns for what they are…
Horrifying caricatures of emotion painted on misshapen but brightly patterned human forms with giant feet, yarn for hair, made worse(better) with the addition of weaponry, teeth, claws, crazy eyes, flying rabid monkeys…
from there I’m pretty sure you know the drill!
So draw what you must, have fun, throw some fangs and polka dots on it, and do it on something you can take a picture of, send that sh*t in! Then we’ll enjoy em and throw a shirt at our favorite!
Holy freaking moly! I like all of the killer clowns! The colors, the shapes and the mystery. But the one that stands out the most for me is entry #9 “Will Kill For Food”
This reminds me of Randy AKA (Smokey) from the tv show Trailer Park Boys from S4E2 “A Man’s Gotta Eat”. Man’s gotta eat is an expression used when someone is trying to low ball you for an income or that you are working a shitty job for shit pay.
“I work in a sewer because a man’s gotta eat”
Just like how clowns are portrayed in society as low paid, hard working comedic relief. They are suffering artists, no wonder why they look scary and crazy. Cough.. cough..Joker.
Know that judgement is now law and to the victor go the spoils! And don’t forget, you can always send your drawings of a Killer Clown in late, you won’t win a shirt but I’ll gladly post it for everyone’s enjoyment!
