A Drawing Contest of Sorts
So we’ve officially been at this long enough that we can have our first “annual tradition” it’s a holiday week. No need to ramp up a competition, instead it’s time to show appreciation and share a few laughs with each other by just drawing mother F’ing turkeys! No judging, no prizes, but hopefully a hell of a lot of traced hands and dangling gobblers!
I actually held this guy out of battle pilgrim as I found him more fitting for this week. Goddammit is he adorable! But is the arm of a drumstick white or dark meat?
Hahaha…. alright everyone say it with me now…. “BOOOOOooooooo!” but really how funny is it going to be once the SLO movement seeps into typesetting and this guy becomes famous as a creator of handmade artisinal helveticas.
I’m going to assume this is exactly what happens when you take acid on a turkey farm… that or this is a legit glance into an entirely thanksgiving-centric alien world complete with caterpillar birds!
This one’s from one of my buddies wee ones, look how much crazy stuff he fit in there! a four limbed lady-bug shelled flying bird, what i assume is a ranch, complete with napping ranch hand and I think that’s the “Black Lodge” too!
Man that is a fantastic tiny little sad beak! And I’m saying he’s sad cause he knows he looks freaking delicious… well except for the gobsticles, but even that’s just a matter of taste…
Won’t you ever learn turkey? you cant tell me what to do… you’d be much better off with a sign that just says “I Should be Eaten” cause then I’d start to question your angle… Wrong or not, he is adorable.
Ha, i suppose all you really need is a head on there to really see what an awkward position we roast these poor guys in… kind of a turkey bow pose if you will. Great little gobbler on this one.
And what exactly is your license for Mr Turkey, Mr Tom Turkey? I bet its a license to be delicious… And i bet the parkour scenes in whatever the parkour Bond was would have been a hell of a lot better with you in em.

Seriously bird, it’s not our fault you are so delicious, well technically with the horrors of farming nowdaysit probably is, but still hardly the festive thing to do. But he does seem awfully well spirited about it.

You know i think i would’ve pegged a turkey to be more of a bulldog man vs a full bent pipe but I would never think to wear a tie like that either… full of surprises this one… yet all the while looking kind of delicious…

I’m going to guess this is a very different turkey than the one we know on the maps… This is a Turkey where every bird has a role and as a whole they are more delicious than they could ever be as disparate parts.
first I thought it was like a turkey gang tag saying “the turkeys were here”, but upon further inspection I’m going with more its a turkey police way of saying “hey this is where we found him” regardless, good fun!

Yes! this one’s pleasantly gross in so many ways! but such a beautiful cubisty shape and that multiple pronged tail is beautiful… and don’t think we didnt see the turkey ween sicko!
Ha! I like to think that any breaks in the shape of a finger turkey must be reflected in the hand that was traced, if so that’s a pretty nasty thumb slice, but at least you got to grow some cool thumb fangs!
I like it, so regal with its cloak of feathers an puffy breasts! Can you imagine how well this one would translate into string art?
Haha! I think its the placement of the giant frankenstein arms behind the tail feathers that has my mind most troubled, well that and how the forearm can be behind and under the freeweight? Maybe they’re just dream arms ; )
And the award for biggest turkey feet goes to! This dude could run across a field of freshly fallen snow without sinking and probably still fair pretty well on the moon.
I’d like to think when turkeys have to go to a quiet place in their avian minds it looks a lot like this, blowing grasses, worms galore and fairy tale-esque barn in the distance.
Ah the patriarch of the turkey family… well that or runaway young ‘n with a newly sprouted beard, hell with the turkey’s accelerated age curve I almost bet he could be both!

Man that’s like an art deco glass turkey dodo combination! so elegant and remarkably unintelligent all at the same time. And just a palm tree silhouette away from being a vacationing birds postcard.
I bet this one makes a hell of a lot of noise, lots of gobble this and garble that and can you imagine how upset he’s going to be when some meddling interferes with his otherwise perfect plans for farm domination?
So great, though i gotta say my brain first jumps to one of those dancing intermission cheeseburgers, but a cheeseburger could never get arm definition like that, too much overall fat content.
The contrast in the the ballet like grace and the weight of the task at hand is pretty great in this one, and I’m going to say perhaps unnecessary what with the pure scrawn of the birds involved, this one’s not about food.
Yes a post apocalyptic turkey, well that or a gungan warrior turkey but i sorta prefer the first. Just walk away turkey feast attendees! just walk away! And dammit i love that face!
It took me a few seconds of trying to translate the symbol/number on his side before i realized it was an adorable matching turkey arm! And I know it looks nothing like him but for some reason i want to whistle the theme to “Doug”
Hahaha, you know I’m not entirely sure whats cracking me up so on this one, I think its the toes but it might just be culmination of a bunch of great features combined!

Damn that’s an impressive amount of finely laid lines, like a snowflake, no two turkeys are alike you know! and those sad owly eyes and that sad little gobble are fantastic!
