Yes! Man the anteater tongues and the old school ant trail both made me laugh… The badlands style sand stones do a great job of place setting and dammit if this doesn’t look a little like my fat, old, dog!
A Drawing Contest of Sorts
Yes! Man the anteater tongues and the old school ant trail both made me laugh… The badlands style sand stones do a great job of place setting and dammit if this doesn’t look a little like my fat, old, dog!
So is it the big ol pachydermy eye looking like a monocle that makes him looks so sophisticated? Or maybe the overly attentive way he folds back his non gesturing hand? Not saying that maw full of tusks and teef isn’t terrifying… just saying it’s a terrible maw patiently waiting for his turn with the croquet hammer!
It’s funny, I’m so used to seeing asses not have spider mandibles, my brain sorta refuses em, first it wanted to see him chomping a kielbasa, then it was more of an old timey operator’s headset… but I think I’ve finally gotten past that… phweeew! Gotta love how the extra knees just hide in our lack of anatomy knowledge and dammit those are some good carrot/finger lopping incisors!
Haha ok so I know I’m stretching here but doesn’t this sorta feel like if William Dafoe did the motion capture for a Gaki feature film? … And man I could really go for some dried, spoiled, black rice about now… right?
Would Eraserhead be a better movie with a chicken included in the title role? I Think there are a couple valid arguments that could be made to that point!… I’m just happy to see how freaking happy birds seem to be to have the “woolies”
It’s funny, the very first thing I thought of when imagined one of these guys was how Kimo the 90s UFC guy used to come to the ring with a full on jesus cross strapped to his back… a lil carrying strap makes a helluva lot more sense, and dammit if those wooden clown feet aren’t beautiful! …. also sorta creepy that the last two drawing’s moons were in almost the exact same place (insert twilight zone theme)
You can real feel this one in the ol’ pineal gland if you know what I’m saying… And that two pupils thing disturbs the hell out of the part of me that was pretty sure I wasn’t tripping…
Man that wash treatment in the background makes this one ever so “feely”! And some would say it’s a tough deal getting both tentacle torso and old man baby face but you ask me or that lil, pick up stix armed, robot, we’d just say it’s what makes you unique!
You know that feels just like swimming by the jet of a heated pool! My favorite piece of these so far has been figuring out the proportions in the refuse… like is that just a doll head or is there a wee pukwudgie glommed in the goo on his back?… Whatever it is, it looks content as hell to be there!
1000% the freeze frame at the start of a remarkably festive dance number… now i just wanna know if all the extras will be dressed as elves or birds or elves wearing bird feathers… my lord! the possibilities!
The low lidded cartoon eye is the most magical thing… I mean right now he’s just saying, “I see you, you see me… I get it, I’ve got a lot of tails… all’s cool”… but change that lid level by a degree or add a vein and he’s as high as Towely! Nice bamboo btw!
ok obvious floating on farts jokes aside, that’s a hell of a physically fit pumpkin… I’m interested that those small claws, even raised in meditation, on a peaceful beast, still read as “savage”…oh and don’t think I missed the peanutsness of that patch, that’s pretty great.
You know I really need to put all those old abbot & costello meets… movies on my watchlist… last time i can recall sitting for one was probably late night wgn in like 1983… that being said back to our drawing where I cant actually distinguish a victor as they are both correct… cats are lovable aaaand delicious ;)!
You know there’s something about the realistic, underwater, sunbeam shadowing combined with the giant, mismatched, glossy, “Ren” style peepers that is blowing my mind! And while i know those are fish scales, there’s def something magically pineapple going down here!
Yes it’s like the John Hannibal Smith of the bat world, handsome, evasive, mischievously smiley and known to chomp on stuff (the bullet’s kinda genius but I swear thinking about it gives me tin foil teeth)… Also please note the fine bodice of plumage!
God Damn! If this was a best vestigial horse legs on a beast contest you’d be my champion for sure! Plus there’s a lovely droop to that cocks tail, the obvious ancient greek setting and I mean, does a comb-over ever hurt?
Nothing like including a real Missouri rural highway to set your locale, and man those eyes so hollow! so empty! so soulless! And a lil bit, doesn’t it look like he’s refusing more of something that tasted absolutely horrible? That or maybe he just wants to step off screen and awkwardly touch your face!
Yes! An old beast from a new guy! And featuring a big eyed overly excitable shrimp some properly anxious fish and a solid punchline! A great first showing!
