A Drawing Contest of Sorts
We’ve got a late one! But he’s pretty great so he can get thrown in the mix without too much chastising… It’s funny I just spent like 15 minutes trying to explain “from Beyond” to someone last week and it would have been easier to just show him this lil guy… And I kinda assume those are more gesture lines, but I really like the idea that its thin Sasquatch fur! I mean it is unfathomably cold!
Hahaha! One… One!! One!!! Person here to snuff the rooster… but you know he aint gonna dieeeeeee…. get it? cause it looks like the Count and Lane Staley! And man does this guy have some gloriously shifty eyes!
Judge’s Commentary – So this one is super good, but has zero to do with why I’m picking it… Mostly I love it cause it reminds me of all the people buried in the garden up to their necks in “Motel Hell” which i prolly watched 30 times as a youth but habent in forever so promptly went looking to ad it to my queue… so second place this week is awarded for effecting chip’s movie viewing schedule!
(begin conehead impersonation) Chew-Ing Gum? (end conehead impersonation) Yes a welcome return from an old vet! I so want this one to move in that no limb movement, forward directed, stop motion hover style that will always be popular amongst art school kids. And intended of not, it’s pretty great that you have the 1970s smiley face hidden in plain site!
Interesting, second long one in a row… I kinda dig how this guys got squarer corners making him a bit more masculine…I kinda love the lil bubbles, his stripey texturing and the tadpole wiggles in the tail are top notch!
Hey he’s pretty scary! Such a fantastic waif like silhouette! and you gotta love a beard that feels like it’s hairy right up to his eyes! Plus he’s got a drippy bag of gore and they gracefully used the term “thumbsucks” which I will now be stealing!

I love the detail in this drawing – in the vest, in the tree stump, even the shillelagh! Exactly what a leprechaun looks like in my imagination.
You know guys… I know we’re here to crush our enemies… see them driven before us and to hear the lamentation of the women… but I swear this one smells kinda like fresh doughnuts!

So in one of those coincidences of life, my wife had just shown me the tree that looks like a woman dancing pic like 15 minutes ago… so this reminds me of that, but that aside this is some amazing texturing, you can really feel the lambiness. And great black eyes!
– This guy just looks so sweet. Nice integration of sheep and tree, nice squat position, and nice tail. Nice all around.
I kinda love that he’s got a bit of a sideways, goat chew kinda motion to his jaw! And I will also assume that this guy has all of our best interest in mind and that the other kids will just adjust to the taste of hot cat in the cafeteria!
Judge’s Commentary – The facial expression is fantastic. Plus I can totally picture this as a patch on a work shirt or jean jacket.
