So, first off, I have no idea if this will work at all.
I do know that I find fan and faux fan fiction immensely entertaining. And mythical beasts are by default entertaining, so the combination of the two, should ideally, have some mind blowing booze with pills style synergy. As with the drawings, I’m going to let you kids somewhat find your own level. General guidelines are as follows:
It can be considerably shorter. I’m not going to count but I do know roughly what 1000 words looks like and my attention span is similar to a squirrel’s, so please try and abide as best you can.
It can be the protagonist, antagonist, even a bit player, just keep in mind your audience, and why they are here.
Write something new. You can riff off whatever you’d like but please don’t steal someone else’s work and search/replace “Felix” with “the Woodbooger” as funny as the results may be.
